Comments: This large heavy duty knife was

 found near Anderson Springs in the Suwannee

 River Valley. Made of river patinated Chert. The flaking

 screams Early Archaic and shows collateral flaking

 on one side along with grinding in the

 notches and along the base.

Comments: Large golden Chert Bolen with

 steeply bevel blade edges. Workmanship is good.

Probably used as a knife. Found by the late Curtis

Gray of Live Oak, Fl. in the 1970's.

Comments: Lost Lakes are rarely

found in this good a condition. Made like

the Lost Lakes you see in Kentucky but

made of deep south translucent Chalcedony. Flaking

is phenomenal and  the symmetry is awesome.

High Bluff Site back in the 1960's by the late

"River Tom" Tom Greenhaw that is.  Very few pieces

ever come up from his old collection. So very

rare to see one this fine and this large.

Flaking is excellent and the base is

well formed and classic for the type.

like this one. But they rarely survive with

a tip like this. Found in a creek that is subject

to violent floods and a lot of aggregate that

could have damaged the tip, but remarkably

Coastal Plains Chert.
